Your guide to any questions you may have about Magic Tickets, travel, hotels, competition itineraries etc. for Vegas. Please refer to this document first to see if the question has already been answered, if it hasn’t please contact Alyssa at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
We began sending out Magic Ticket Player Packets on August 31st, but will continue to email them to players as we receive Store Magic Ticket Surveys that provide your email to us. If you still haven’t received your Magic Ticket please email email@example.com
Unfortunately, due to scheduling, we will be running tournaments simultaneously in Vegas, so you are only able to qualify for one game title. If you need to receive a new Magic Ticket for the game you want to compete in, please email firstname.lastname@example.org We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
We have partnered with Southwest airlines; this also means that there are no assigned seats, so if you’re traveling with someone, you may not get to sit next to them.
We will accommodate the preferred city you’d like to fly out of and the preferred airline to get to Vegas on time. Please note this at the bottom of your flight schedule sheet so that we can make this exception.
In your Magic Ticket Player Packet, there is a schedule form for preferred city and time to depart from. If you need special accommodations, please note that in the bottom portion of your schedule form.
Absolutely, we would love to see all of the board gaming community come out and support you and the Unrivaled series. However, we are only accommodating Magic Ticket winners, so if they come with you, you are responsible for their plane tickets, food, convention day passes, etc.
If your trip has already been scheduled, you need to contact the airlines to adjust your itinerary. Any fees accrued are the player’s responsibility.
Yes, but we will not be covering this extra expense.
That is all dependent on what airlines you are on. Please refer to their website for answers. Any checked baggage fees are the player’s responsibility.
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! We will be picking up players, their spouses, guardians and/or +1s in our Unrivaled vans. We will have employees in the airport baggage claim area to direct you to the appropriate locations for pickup. Our Unrivaled vans will be running from 6a-6p (we are still working on the timing of how often we’ll be taking players to and from the airport to the hotel). If your flight arrives later than 6p, we will have the shuttles on call for you. If you need wheelchair access, please contact email@example.com to make arrangements.
We will have a separate shuttle service picking players up from the hotel to the GameWorks downtown (we are currently working on a schedule for that time frame as well).
Yes, we are catering our events. We will have a cash bar available for you to purchase drinks from at your own expense. We are handing out player pack lunches during the day of the tournaments.
Go for it! But again, this extra expense is your responsibility since it is outside of our event.
Please note these dietary restrictions in your schedule forms so that we can accommodate your needs.
In your Magic Ticket Player Packet, there is a schedule form for room preferences. If you need special accommodations, please note that in the bottom portion of your schedule form. If you want to upgrade to a room with multiple beds and appliances, you may do so day of at the hotel and pay any additional fees accrued (these are not covered by the Unrivaled Team).
Yes, you can have your parent, spouse, store owner, etc. cover your incidental fees. Just make sure they agree to it beforehand!
Yes. We have arranged so that every player has an individual room with a queen bed.
You can have whoever you like stay with you since it is an individual room. If you are concerned about the taxes applied to each room being expended to you, please note the request in your schedule form that you are a couple (each person is registered for the Nationals to compete) and that you’d like a room together.
If there are smoking rooms available in the hotel, please note this request on your schedule form and we will attempt to accommodate it.
Yes, but we will not be covering this extra expense.
We are hosting them over the weekend of October 27th-29th. We are flying everyone in on the 27th, hosting the tournaments on the 28th, and having players fly home on the 29th.
We are hosting the event at Bally’s Las Vegas at 3645 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109. Their number is (702) 967-4111. This is located right next to the Paris Las Vegas where you will be staying.
Just like in the satellites and the regionals, we are conducting Swiss style tournaments for the games. You will be competing in pools of anywhere from 2-4 depending on the attendance per game rather than 1v1. We will be hosting the Semi-Finals in the morning of the 28th, and then the Finals in the evening.
For the finals, we ask that everyone attend for at least 4 hours to watch the live players game. As far as how long the competitions last, that’s all dependent on the attendance per game title.
Standard base game rules apply to all game titles in the Unrivaled series. Only promos from Oomba are allowed, no other promos or variants will apply. For a complete list of rules, please download the Unrivaled.com Rulebook PDF
You are allowed two bookmarks per match. You are able to use as many as you want but only two get to be present before each match that you want to utilize, and ONLY those two. Legal bookmarks include: Bookmark of Nerfarious Necromancy, Bookmark of Half-Horsing Around!, Bookmark of Buried Treasure, Cheesy Promotional Bookmark of Power!, Bookmark of Clerical Erroneousness!, Bookmark of Boom and Bust!, Bookmark of Mighty Fine Bonuses!, Bookmark of Wonderland Withdrawl!, Bookmark of A Hard, Dazed Knight!, Bookmark of Bargain Hunting!, Bookmark of Moop’s Spring Special!, Bookmark of Monarchal Misrule!, Bookmark of Chivalrous Subterfuge!, Bookmark of The Red Pen of Dooooom!, Bookmark of The Big Box of Beatdown!, Bookmark of Unrivaled Smite!

Absolutely! We welcome any and all feedback, positive and negative alike! We only want to improve our software, our tournament series, and your experience with us as we expand Unrivaled for years to come. We will be submitting a feedback form after the Vegas Nationals have concluded so that you can give your valuable insight as to how we can do better or leave comments as to what you did like about our event.
It’s hard to say since we’re jam packing this weekend with events and tournaments, but there is a possibility for you to explore the city. As we finalize our scheduling for Vegas, we will update this FAQ sheet to let you know.
Yes! We would love to see you get creative with your store/team swag! It’s also awesome support for your active players in the Finals! That being said, we are creating shirts on site for the finale that contain the participating store’s logos. If you are a participating store, please email those logos ASAP, so that your store will have proper representation at the Finals.
Potentially! We’re allowing the finalists up to five shirts for their friends, family, etc. So hopefully, one of your players can bring you home a shirt too!
Yes. Unrivaled and Oomba are covering the base price of the hotel and flight, but because this is technically income to the player, you are responsible for the taxes. That figure is dependent on the state you live in and your annual income. We will be mailing out all of those documents around January so that you can file it for the tax year.
Yes. You will fill out a W-9 form, and we report that amount to the IRS. You will also need to report your winnings (most likely through a 1099 form) so that you have all of the appropriate documents for the tax season.
Absolutely, go nuts! Just make sure to have your ID and Oomba account information ready in case we need to identify you. We are also hosting a costume party the night of the VIP Party on October 27th. (Please keep all costumes PG-13 as we have minors attending)
Unfortunately no. This year was our first incarnation and it was larger than we could have hoped for. We hope to accommodate more players for the Unrivaled Tournament Series 2018!
